A Bit About Me
Greetings, my name is Sarah!
I am Therapist-Intern completing a graduate degree in psychotherapy. My approach to therapy is collaborative and person-centred. I believe that every individual is unique, and therapy should reflect that. Some clients find talk therapy most helpful, while others benefit from solution-focused, goal-oriented approaches. During our first session, we will explore your treatment goals together and tailor an approach that best supports your needs.

Before beginning my journey as a Therapist, I spent eight years as an elementary and middle school teacher. This background has given me a deep understanding of hour children and adolescents process emotions and navigate challenges. In my work with children, I incorporate art therapy, play-based approaches, talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). A session with a young child may involve playing with figurines, drawing emotions, learning coping strategies, and setting small, achievable goals to practice throughout the week.

In addition to working with children and adolescents, I also support individuals navigating anxiety, panic, depression, phobias, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, career changes, decision-making, relationship challenges, and exploring attachment patterns. While these are some of my areas of focus, I work with a wide range of concerns and strive to meet each client where they are, providing a supportive space for exploration and growth.
No matter where you are in your journey, you don't have to navigate it alone. I look forward to walking alongside you.
